Sportshall Athletics - Years 5/6 - Dec 2021

SPORTSHALL ATHLETICS – Years 5 and 6

On Saturday 4th December 2021, the year 5 and 6 Sportshall team competed in the Sportshall Athletics competition at Ursuline College against 8 other schools. We started at 10.00am and finished at 1pm. Although most of us were very nervous we were also feeling excited. The track events were great, our girls team worked their magic on the obstacle relay and came first and the boys did the same. As the field and track events were going on at the same time, everybody was cheering every competitor, it was ecstatic. The field events were great too, watching the chest push, standing long jump and other events. Speed bounce was great as one of our girls got 55. The javelin was fun because the also teachers had a go. It was the end of the competition and it was time for the results, the girls finished second and the boys came first, which meant that St Saviour’s finished first overall. Even though it was nice to win, we still had lots of fun and enjoyed ourselves as well as congratulating the opposition.
