Welcome to the final Update of 2020. Not quite the year we expected or planned, but I'm sure that 2021 will see a gradual return to normality. In the meantime, on behalf of Passport, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
It was great to see quite a few of you at our virtual networking meeting last week. The feedback I have had from those who joined us has been very positive, so it is likely that we will repeat the exercise early in the new year. In the meantime, please remember that Stephanie and I are always available if you need support.
For those who were unable to join us the Minutes of the meeting are attached, including links to some of the resources that were mentioned. Also attached are '7 Top Tips for Spending the PE & Sport Premium,' as well as the revised edition of the 'Evidencing the Impact' Reporting Tool and a reminder of the '5 Key Indicators.'
A reminder that the School Games 'Santa Dash' is this coming Friday 11th December, which is also National Christmas Jumper Day. Simply set up a fun course around your school and join in! Further details can be obtained from Stephanie, sgo@ursuline.kent.sch.uk.
I am delighted to announce that Total Sports Coaching in association with Passport will be organising and running an ALL INCLUSIVE virtual football competition, starting in January. The competition will run over the whole of Terms 3 and 4 and will consist of 4 simple events, such as Passing and Dribbling, that are easy to set up in class bubbles and which are accessible for children of all abilities and ages. Support materials, including videos, will be provided as well as trophies for the winning classes/schools. Further information and sign up details will be provided with Update 7 when we start back in January.
A final reminder that the filmed Key Steps Gymnastics floor routines need to be submitted to Stephanie no later than 12th December 2020.
Several events are continuing on into 2021, including Dance, Speed Stacking and Tri-Golf. We are also planning a new Multi-Skills Challenge for Term 3. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas for other virtual events that we can run then please let me know.
Hopefully, if things return to normal by Terms 5 or 6 then we will still be able to organise some of our biggest festivals, such as football, rugby, cricket and netball. Fingers crossed.
Best Wishes
