Just a quick final Update before your well-earned Easter break.
Attached are all the details and guidance you need for the Virtual Multi-Skills Event which is a fun and social activity focusing on the skills of Handball, Basketball and Hockey. It is designed to be carried out within any class bubble and schools can enter as many teams as they wish from each year group. Schools are asked to submit their results in Term 5 and again in Term 6 and the most improved teams scores will be recognised. Entries should be sent to our SGO, Stephanie Selsby, sgo@ursuline.kent.sch.uk, using the attached spreadsheet.
The entry deadline for Term 5 is 26th May 2021 and for Term 6 it is 7th July 2021. I will, of course send out plenty of reminders in future Updates.
Talking of reminders, don't forget that tomorrow, 1st April 2021, is the last day for sending in your Speed Stacking competition results to me and your Tri-Golf results and Dance videos to Stephanie.
Also attached is a letter from Steve Franks, the Kent Squash Development Coach, giving details about how you can develop a Squash Academy in your school. Coaching and taster sessions are available for interested schools and all equipment is provided. Further details about this exciting opportunity can be obtained from Steve, elsteveo969@hotmail.co.uk.
Stephanie sent out details last week about a FREE online tennis training course for teachers, on completion of which you will receive a resource pack and a £250 voucher which can be spent on equipment, or better still 10 hours of professional coaching in your school from an LTA accredited coach. Gavid Vickers, Tennis Coach at Margate and Broadstairs Tennis Club is able to to provide coaches to deliver high quality tennis sessions on site.
