Dear Colleagues
This is the final Update of the term - so Merry Christmas to all our readers!!
A final reminder that this meeting is due to take place at Upton this coming Friday 30th November, 1-3.30pm. We have a full agenda, including updates on local and national initiatives, as well as some sports specific CPD. It is still not too late to join myself and the representatives from the 18 schools that have already signed up. For those who are coming please ensure that you arrive for a prompt start at 1pm. Refreshments will be available.
This is the first event of 2019 and will take place at The Ursuline on Thursday 10th January, 10am-12 noon. There is no limit on the number of schools that can enter this Development Festival, which will provide an opportunity for teachers and pupils to learn more about Key Steps such as understanding the language used, interpreting the resources, understanding how movements are judged and learning the skills required in preparation for the KSG qualifier in March. Although there will be the opportunity for pupils to take part in the activities outlined in your Key Step Gymnastic Resource Packs, there will not be any judges.
Further details and an entry form are attached, which should be returned to me, gary.rees@tinyonline.co.uk , no later than Wednesday 5th December.
This event will take place at Dane Court on Friday 18th January 2019, 4-5.30pm. There is no gender restriction with teams of 4 required. Due to the number of tables there are only 8 places available. Entries should be sent to me, gary.rees@tinyonline.co.uk , but they will not be accepted until 7.30am on Friday 30th November. Places will then be allocated on a first come first served basis. The closing date for entries is midnight on Tuesday 4th December.
Due to a clash of dates this event, that was due to be held at Priory this week, has had to be postponed. However, we have been able to rearrange it for Monday 4th February. Please add the date to your diaries. Further details will be sent out when we come back after Christmas.
I am pleased to announce that we have been able to add a new event to our calendar for Y2 children. This is an indoor 'Rapid Fire' cricket competition which will be run by Kent County Cricket Club. It will be held at Dane Court Grammar School on Tuesday 29th January, 1-4.30pm. Once again please add the date to your diaries and further details will follow in early January.
Well done to the winners of the following recent Passport events:-
Best Wishes
