Dear Colleagues

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Although it's quite a short term there are lots of events going on, with something for everyone!

THANET COMMUNITY AWARDS

I am delighted to tell you that Thanet Passport has been shortlisted for this year's Thanet Community Awards. Should we be one of the 6 lucky winners then Passport will be in line for a share of £10,000, which we would use to provide free sports equipment for member schools, thereby encouraging increased participation in sport. The winners will be announced at a presentation ceremony on Tuesday 22nd January, so keep your fingers crossed!

Y5/6 RUGBY TOURNAMENT - ADDITIONAL SPACE

This event at Chatham House had to be postponed because of the weather. It will now take place on Wednesday 30th January, 4-5.45pm. All the schools that originally entered have been invited to attend, but sadly one school cannot now make the rearranged date. Consequently I have one space available. Please let me know immediately if you would like this space. First come, first served. Just in case there are no takers, if any school already entered would like to bring a second team then please let me know.

Y2 SPEED STACKING

As previously notified, this event was also postponed from last term and will now take place at Priory Infant School on Monday 4th February, 4-5pm. Schools must bring a team of 4 children consisting of 2 boys and 2 girls. Each team member will be required to complete the 333 stack and the 363 stack. There will then also be a 363 rely including all 4 team members. Further event guidelines will be sent out to schools entered. Due to space, we are limited to 10 teams and entries will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis (one team per school).

If you wish to enter, please e-mail Steve Holmes on sholmes@priory.kent.sch.uk with the following information. Entries open on Friday 11th January at 7.30am and close Wednesday 16th:

  1. School name
  2. Contact name
  3. Contact email
  4. Contact mobile number
