Dear Colleagues
Thank you to all those colleagues who have informed me that they will be attending the next PE co-ordinators' networking meeting at Chilton Primary School on Friday 22nd March, 1-3.30pm. Please confirm your attendance, even if you have done so verbally, so that I can arrange refreshments etc. We have a really good agenda lined up for you, including presentations from 'Primary Fitness Challenge,' 'Upskills Football' and 'Fighter Fit Kids.' In addition Stephanie, our SGO, will be giving out important information on several subjects, including the School Games Mark, the Daily Mile and Tennis. Don't forget that cover for you to attend counts as eligible expenditure from your Sports Premium money.
Both the Year 3/4 (am) and 5/6 (pm) events will take place at Thanet Squash Club on Thursday 4th April and an entry form is attached. Teams MUST consist of 3 boys and 3 girls only. Entries open at 7am on Thursday 14th March and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Entries should be sent to Stephanie Selsby, sgo@ursuline.kent.sch.uk.
The programme for this event at Upton on Saturday 23rd March will be sent out later this week. All schools have been allocated the number of places they asked for. Please note that, contrary to what was printed in the sign up sheet, for this competition only, teams must have a minimum of 2 girls playing at any one time, not 3.
Also attached are the details of the Thanet Junior Schools Netball Tournament at Hartsdown Academy on Saturday 11th May. You have a bit more time to get your entries in, as the closing date is Thursday 11th April and there is no restriction on entry numbers. Further details and an entry form are attached, along with a flyer for parents and a team list to be brought on the day. Entries should be sent to Linda Bushell, lb22thanetnetball@btinternet.com.
The Les Riggs and Consolation Cup Finals will be played at Upton on Thursday 21st March from 4pm. Why not come along if you are interested and watch some high quality football from our 4 finalists?
Well done to the winners of these recent Passport events:-
Both these schools will now go on to represent Thanet at the KSG finals.
Best Wishes
