There is no limit on the number of schools that can take part (one team per school). Please let me know if you wish to take part no later than this coming Friday 5th April, gary.rees@tinyonline.co.uk . Y1 FOOTBALL FESTIVAL

As previously notified, and staying on the theme of football, an addition to the Passport Calendar is a Festival for Y1 pupils. This will be held at Minster Primary School on Monday 29th April, 4.00-5.10pm. The players will receive a session of skills coaching, courtesy of TSC, followed by some friendly 4-a-side games. All participants will also receive a medal at the end of the event.

There is a limit of 12 teams for this event with a maximum of 7 players per squad (any combination of boys and girls). Please let me know if you would like to take part, gary.rees@tinyonline.co.uk , no earlier than 7.30am on Thursday 4th April. Places will then be allocated on a first come first served basis. Entries close on Thursday 25th April.

TPSFA AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Thanet Primary Schools FA will be held at Holy Trinity Ramsgate Primary School on Friday 3rd May at 4.00pm. The meeting will last no longer than an hour and is your opportunity to have a say in how our various football events are run, as well as the District Teams, so please make every effort to attend.

Y3/4 RUGBY LEAGUE TOURNAMENT

Further information and an entry form for this event, which will take place at Minster Primary School on Tuesday 30th April, 4.00-5.15pm, are attached. There is a maximum of 8 schools for this event and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Y5/6 RUGBY FESTIVAL

Details for the final Rugby Festival of the season at Upton on Saturday 27th April will be sent out soon by Dave Walker. The draw for the banner competition was made at the PE Networking Meeting and the countries that each school has been allocated are attached.

Y2 INFANT AGILITY

Also attached are details and the entry form for the Infant Agility at The Ursuline on Thursday 2nd May at 10am. This is a KSG qualifier and entry is limited to 12 schools. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis and entry forms should be returned to Stephanie Selsby, sgo@ursuline.kent.sch.uk , no earlier than 7.30am on Thursday 4th April. Closing date for entries is midnight on Monday 8th April.

OLYMPIA BOXING OFFER

Colleagues who attended the PE Networking meeting before Christmas may remember Wayne Smith who came along to talk about Olympia Boxing, which some schools have since employed. He has an Urban Box Mobile Arena, measuring 12x6m which can be put up in a hall, playground or field. The arena has a gantry with 8 punchbags, a 12x12ft ring for padwork and tag games and he also brings skipping ropes and other equipment. This would be ideal for a day in school to rotate all classes through, or as part of a Sports Day or Healthy Living Week. He is currently offering Passport schools a discounted rate of £500 for the day instead of the usual £620, which includes 2 fully qualified sports coaches. It also counts as eligible expenditure from your Sports Premium. If you are interested please contact Wayne on 07525346159 or via email, wayne@olympiaboxing.co.uk . More information can also be found at www.olympiaboxing.co.uk .
