Thanet Passport Update - 9

Dear Colleagues

Y3/4 CHANGE4LIFE FESTIVAL

Attached are the details for the Year 3/4 Change4Life Festival at Garlinge Primary School on Thursday 13th February. There are spaces for 10 teams, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Entries should be sent to Lisa Sparkes, sparkesl@garlinge.kent.sch.uk , no earlier than 7.30am on Thursday 30th January. Closing date for entries is midday on Monday 3rd February.

This is a fully inclusive event which is ideally suited for those children who do not ordinarily get the opportunity to represent their school. The Change4Life activity cards can be found on the Passport website, www.thanetpassport.org.uk .

QUICKSTICKS HOCKEY - Years 3/4 and 5/6

Also attached are the entry forms for both the Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 Quicksticks Hockey KSG qualifiers, which will take place at Chatham House on Thursday 27th February and Monday 2nd March respectively. Please return the entry forms to me, garybcrees@gmail.com , NO EARLIER than 7.30am on Thursday 30th January. There is a limit of 12 teams per event and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Entries close at midnight on Monday 3rd February 2020.

MULTI-FIT FESTIVAL - Years 1-6

This fun event was a new addition to our calendar last year and proved a huge success. It is designed for children who do not usually get the opportunity to represent their school at sport. It will take place at Ramsgate Leisure Centre on Friday 28th February, 1-3pm and all schools are invited to bring along 2 pupils from each year group. During the course of the afternoon the participants will face a series of fitness and skills based activities, modified according to their age. A through primary can bring a team of 12, whilst separate Infant and Junior Schools can bring 4 and 8 respectively. However, if Junior Schools wish to liaise with their feeder Infant schools to bring a combined team that would be great. We hope as many schools as possible will take part, but due to the size of the venue there is a restriction on numbers so please get your entries in as early as possible. An entry form is attached which should be returned to me, garybcrees@gmail.com , no later than midnight on Monday 10th February. Successful entries will then be confirmed along with details of the various activities.

Best Wishes
