Thanet Passport Update - 15

Dear Colleagues

I trust you are all well and still managing to cope in these strange times.

Now that it is clear that schools will not be fully open before September I can confirm that all Passport events for the rest of this academic year are cancelled. In the meantime Stephanie and I will be ploughing ahead and putting together next year's calendar. Initially it will be pretty much the same as this year's, although we cannot guarantee that all venues will be able to cater for Passport events in the same way as before - but we will cross each bridge as we come to it and keep everyone informed along the way. The draft calendar should be with you in electronic format by the start of July.

In the meantime, Stephanie has been sending out regular updates and there is always something new on Twitter - @pas_sport and @SGOThanet . I'm also here twiddling my thumbs if you need me - 07974801550.

In case you missed Stephanie's last email I have reproduced it below along with the relevant attachments:-

Dear All,

As I have previously communicated with you, YST made the decision to not go ahead with applications for 2019/20 School Games Mark Awards. Those that received an award in 2018/19 will retain this status for 2019/20, that includes any schools that have achieved the Platinum award.

In its replacement for this academic year, they have introduced two recognition awards. One for September 2019-March 2020 and a virtual award for March 2020 - July 2020. The criteria for achieving these awards is bespoke to Thanet and can be found on the attachment to this email. I have also attached an application form if you wish to apply for one or both of these awards.

I hope you are all settling into the new way of doing things (for now). I have also attached a couple of guidance documents for PE response to covid-19. Any inquiries, please get in touch.

Kind regards

Stephanie

Best Wishes
