A final reminder that our Virtual Networking Meeting for PE staff is due to take place this coming Thursday 26th November at 4.30pm. Whether you are in school or working from home we hope that you will join us via Zoom for this meeting. If nothing else, it is an opportunity for us to support each other at this difficult time. We want to share all sorts of practical ideas and resources, from how to deliver PE virtually to spending your PE Premium. The agenda is attached and I will be sending out the Zoom link via email on Thursday. COME AND JOIN US - YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
I am delighted to announce that 2 of our District Team footballers have been selected to represent Kent. Congratulations to Sonny and Alfie and best of luck representing the county over the next two seasons.

Hi All,
You may already be aware through twitter/email but the NEW School Games Mark Framework for 2020-21has now been released. A reflection tool has been created for this academic year as it is recognised that the usual attainment levels set out in the criteria are not achievable at present. There will not be a Gold/Silver/Bronze award as there has been in previous years, School Games hope for this to return for 2021/22. The reflection tool (attached) enables you to look at your offering and determine focal points for your development throughout the school year. I have created a word document for you to use as you wish. This may be a document you refer to for examples or for you to use to record what you have done/are doing/will do. It is similar to the Action Plan I have created in previous years for the SGM.
SPORTSHALL ATHLETICS -If any schools require use of a 1kg Medicine ball for the Chest Push for Sportshall Athletics, please get in touch, I have two available to lend.

Kent SGO's have teamed up to create a training video for Primary leaders. There will be more resources to follow.

Changing Minds Kent have several places available for their FREE Fit and Fed Mental Health Aware training sessions which will be taking place on the below dates. The places are open to teaching staff, teaching assistants that would benefit from gaining a better understanding of mental health issues and how to recognise the signs and provide support.

Multi Skills Level 2 Course - approx £260
This course will be delivered predominantly online with some practical aspects delivered in Canterbury (a lot closer to home than many courses). A member of Garlinge PE team has already been enrolled and informed that there are still places. This is a great opportunity to upskill and the PE Premium rolled over from 2019/20 can be used (which needs to be spent and evidence provided ASAP). Booking link found below.
