Thanet Passport Update - 10

Dear Colleagues

Welcome back! Half way through the year, but still more than 50 events to go! Here are a few more for you to sign up for this term.

REMINDERS

Thank you to those who have already let me know that they will be attending our next PE Networking Meeting this coming Friday 23rd February 2024, 1.00-4.00pm, at Thanet Indoor Bowls Centre in Cliftonville. As always, this is a great opportunity for PE staff to meet other like-minded people, share ideas and keep up to date with new initiatives and events. Cover for your attendance also counts as eligible expenditure from your school's PE and Sport Premium. At this meeting I will be giving an update on new additions to our calendar ; Stephanie Selsby, our School Games Organiser, will be providing support for those applying for the School Games Mark; and there will also be an Indoor Bowls practical session. As if all that was not enough, tea, coffee and buns will be provided! If you are able to join us please let me know by emailing garybcrees@gmail.com. There is no restriction on numbers from any school.
Although the closing date has passed, I am still happy to receive entries for the Y5/6 Rugby events at Thanet Wanderers, as long as they arrive no later than Friday 23rd February 2024. The entry form is re-attached for your convenience.
A final reminder that entries for the Y3-6 Cross Country event at Quex Park on Saturday 2nd March should be sent to the organiser, Steve King - steve@eastkentcoaching.com no later than Friday 23rd February 2024, with payment either by cheque or BACS to arrive by Monday 26th February 2024.  Please do not send entry forms or payment to me!Schools that fail to meet the entry and payment deadlines will not be able to take part.

Y5/6 'LET GIRLS PLAY' FOOTBALL FESTIVAL

Details about this event at Ramsgate FC on Friday 8th March 2024 were sent out by Stephanie, our SGO, last week. Here is the email in case you missed it, along with an attachment with further information.

Dear All
Please see the attached entry information for the #letgirlsplay Biggest Ever Football Event on 8th March 2024. This is an event for Girls in Yr 5/6.
You can follow the booking link here https://forms.gle/LJzUFmVupeaGb5Lu7 which can also be found in the document.
If you are unable to attend the event on the day, there are plenty of activities that can be done on your school site. You can register here https://girlsfootballinschools.org/letgirlsplay.php to access resources to support delivery at your school, and I have also attached some documents provided by Kent FA that could be used across school with girls & boys. It has also been beautifully timed to coincide with International Women's Day.
We will be welcoming support from Female young leaders from a local secondary school. There will be prizes on offer, information about local sessions shared and opportunities to try out a variety of skills practices.
Any questions, please get in touch, sgo@ursuline.kent.sch.uk
