Dear Colleagues
Thank you to all those who have nominated players for our DIstrict Team Trials. The Girls District Squad trials took place last Wednesday, which was attended by only 11 girls from 8 schools. I'm pleased to say that the standard of the players was very high and all 11 were selected, but sadly this is not quite enough to maintain a squad for next season. Therefore we are still hoping to be able to look at a few more candidates from the current Y4 and Y5 over the next few weeks, including at the Passport Girls Cup (for those 9 schools that have entered so far). If you did not make any nominations for the Girls Squad but think that you might have some suitably talented players in Years 4 and 5 then please let me know. It is also not too late to enter the Girls Passport Cup on Friday 1st July, 1-4pm at Margate FC, as entries close this coming Friday 24th June.
The first of the Main Squad trials is this coming Wednesday 22nd June at Ramsgate FC. We have had 38 nominations for this trial, which will be reduced to about 20 for a second trial on Wednesday 29th June. Teachers and Sports Coaches are very welcome to come along and help us with the selection process. The more eyes the better! In case your parents have missed the information on their letters, please let them know that the names of all those selected can be seen on the TPSFA website about 24 hours after each trial has taken place:-

As well as the Passport Girls Football Cup mentioned above, entries are still being accepted for the following events, but no later than Friday 24th June:-
Y3-6 Rounders Festival - Upton Junior - 6th July, 4-5.30pm
Y 5/6 Super 8s Cricket Festivals - Margate CC on 8th July and Broadstairs CC on 15th July, 4-5.20pm
Y1-6 Boccia Festival - Garlinge Primary - 12 July, 10-11am - there is one place left in both KS1 and KS2
