Dear Colleagues
This fun event will take place at Dane Court on Wednesday 28th June, 12.45-3pm. There is no limit on numbers, you can bring a group, a class or even the whole of Year 2 if you wish!
The 4 events are 50m sprint, 300m run, mini vortex howler throw and standing long jump, which will be completed by everyone in rotation. Each event will be explained to the children, but pages 5-8 of the attached Quadkids Manual may help you to prepare them in advance. As usual we are not recording individual performances (hence no numbers needed). Although every child takes part, only the best 4 boys’ and best 4 girls’ performances from each school in each event will count. Every child will receive a participation medal. There are 2 trophies which will go to the schools with the best overall boys’ and girls’ performances from all 4 events added together.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PARENTS ARE STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED ON SITE AT THIS EVENT. THEREFORE IT IS ADVISABLE TO RETURN THE CHILDREN TO SCHOOL RATHER THAN ARRANGE PICK UP FROM DANE COURT.

Attached is an entry form for the Y4-6 Passport Cup Girls Football Tournament, which will take place at Margate FC on Friday 30th June 2023, 1.30-4.30pm. There is no limit on the number of schools that can enter and schools may also enter up to 2 teams. Entries can be sent to me now, garybcrees@gmail.com , but certainly no later than Friday 16th June 2023. Parents are allowed to attend this event.
Also attached is an entry form for the Y3-6 Rounders Festival which will be held at Upton Junior School on Wednesday 5th July 2023, 4-5.30pm. There is no limit on the number of schools that can enter and entries can be sent to me now, garybcrees@gmail.com , but certainly no later than Friday 23rd June 2023. A copy of the rules is also attached and please note that parents will not be allowed to attend this event.
Due to increased demand Thanet Gymnastics Club are looking to expand their work and consequently they need to find a venue that could host a Satellite Club. As well as needing a space one day a week from 16.00 to 19.30, they also require storage for their equipment (approximately 6 by 3.5metres). In return the host school could benefit financially and/or with the possibility of free or reduced cost gymnastics coaching. If you are interested and think you can help then please contact Head Coach, Emma Smith, on 07450796368, who will be delighted to hear from you.
Information regarding nominations for trials for both our Main Squad and our Girls Squad will be sent to eligible schools this week. Please note that, although there will be a slightly different process for each squad this year, ultimately anyone you nominate and who is selected must be both exceptional at football and well behaved in school!
And finally, please be aware that the date of the Infant Games event has now been changed from Thursday 6th July to Thursday 13th July 2023. The start time of 10.00am and the Baypoint venue remain the same. Further details to follow in my next Update.
