Thanet Passport Update - 3

Hi All

Please find the information below for our upcoming sporting events (Year 5/6 Basketball, Year 5/6 Netball (Girls), Year 1/2 Dodgeball & Year 3/4 Football Festival) and how to enter. Please note that the entry deadline for all of these competitions is Wednesday 15th October 2025 and entries will be accepted from 6pm on Wednesday 8th October 2025 .

FINAL REMINDER PE STAFF NETWORKING MEETING - 17th October 2025
DATE: Friday 17th October 2025
TIME: 1pm
VENUE: Ramsgate FC Club House
Please CLICK HERE to let me know if you will/not be attending no later than Friday 10th October 2025. There is no limit on numbers and more than one member of staff per school can attend.

YEAR 5/6 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
DATE: Play off 1 Friday 7th November, Play off 2 Friday 14th November, Finals Friday 21st November
TIME: 4:00 - 5:30pm
VENUE: Ursuline College
ENTRY INFORMATION: The form will accept entries from 6pm on Wednesday 8th October. If you would like to enter please CLICK HERE
This tournament has a maximum entry of 16 schools, with 8 schools playing on Friday 7th November and a further 8 playing on Friday 14th November. The top 4 teams from each of these play-offs will then contest the Finals on Friday 21st November. All matches will take place at Ursuline College and parents are not permitted to attend this event.

YEAR 5/6 PASSPORT NETBALL TOURNAMENT (GIRLS) - Saturday 8th November 2025
DATE: Saturday 8th November
TIME: 9:30-12 noon
VENUE: St George's Primary School
ENTRY INFORMATION: Please note that this is a GIRLS ONLY event. The form will accept entries from 6pm on Wednesday 8th October. If you would like further information and to enter please CLICK HERE
There are only 8 spaces available and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

YEAR 1/2 DODGEBALL FESTIVAL - Wednesday 12th November 2025
DATE: Wednesday 12th November 2025
TIME: 4:15 - 5:30pm
VENUE: Ramsgate Leisure Centre (subject to change)
ENTRY INFORMATION: Schools can bring a squad of up to 9 children but only 7 children are permitted to play in each game. All teams must have at least 1 boy and 1 girl but a good mix is always promoted. The emphasis is on the children having fun. Event guidelines will be sent out with fixtures to schools who are entered into the festival. Teachers will be expected to referee games.
Due to space, we are limited to 8 teams and entries will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis (one team per school). Parents are not permitted to attend this event.

DATE CHANGES & PASSPORT CALENDARS

Just to let you know that there has been a couple of changes to the dates of a few of our events coming up in Term 2
Year 5/6 Dodgeball at King Ethelberts Secondary School will now take place on TUESDAY 18TH NOVEMBER
Year 3-6 Sports Stacking Competition at Broadstairs College will now take place on TUESDAY 2ND DECEMBER
The Passport Calendars have now been printed and I will aim to get these to you all by the end of the week.

THANET LEGENDS YOUTH GROUP

Please find attached a flyer advertising The Thanet Legends Youth Group that is running every Monday from 4:30-5:45pm at Northdown Road Family Hub, Margate. Please share with the parents and students at your school.
